Château Maris Otter er produsert av den britiske sorten Maris Otter. Denne varianten ble raskt populær blant engelske bryggere på midten av 1960-tallet, og ga form og karakter til mange engelske ølstiler.I dag brukes det ofte som basemalt for å produsere øl over hele verden.

Château Maris Otter gir en rik og robust maltkarakter til ølet med en vakker og lett gyldenfarge. Brukt som basemalt, vil Château Maris Otter bidra til å produsere et øl med stor klarhet og høydrikkbarhet med lav skumdannelse, på grunn av dets lave nivå av proteiner, tradisjonell i engelske ølstiler.

Brukes i Ales, English Ales, English Bitter og Cask Ales. Opptil 100 % av maltblandingen.
