Smak og aroma. Boadicea er mild, lett blomstret og krydret, med en gressaktig duftende aroma. Den har et snev av florale smaksnoter og minner deg om frukthageblomstring.

Bittere egenskaper. Boadiceas bitre egenskaper er lett og avrundet.

Om denne Humlen. Boadicea er en uvanlig hekkhumle og er utmerket til etterbehandling og tørrhumling.

Boadicea var verdens første bladlusbestandige sort og er som sådan den mest miljøvennlige humlen som finnes. Boadicea ble utgitt i 2004 av Horticulture Research International (HRI) ved Wye College i Storbritannia fra "åpen kryssing" av bladlusresistente hekkvarianter. Den er naturlig motstandsdyktig mot bladlus, og har god motstand mot visne og dunmugg, og krever derfor færre plantevernmidler enn noen annen humle. Oppbevaringsstabiliteten er god.

Flavour and Aroma. Boadicea is mild, light floral and spicy, with a grassy scented aroma. It has a touch of floral flavour notes and reminds you of orchard blossom.

Bittering Characteristics. Boadicea’s bittering characteristics are light bodied and rounded.

About this Hop. Boadicea is an unusual hedgerow hop and is excellent for finishing and dry hopping.

Boadicea was the world’s first aphid resistant variety and as such is the most environmentally friendly hop available. Boadicea was released in 2004 by Horticulture Research International (HRI) at Wye College in the UK from ‘open crossing’ of aphid resistant hedgerow varieties. It is naturally resistant to aphids, and has good resistance to wilt and downy mildew therefore requiring fewer pesticides than any other hop. Its storage stability is good.
